Join our newly formed development team at the forefront of pioneering technologies! We design high-end line scan cameras for demanding logistics automation applications and seek passionate, innovative experts to help set new standards in image quality, barcode reading, speed, and reliability. As part of our dedicated interdisciplinary team, you'll contribute your embedded development expertise to strengthen our market leadership and actively shape the future of industrial image processing at SICK.
Your tasks:
• Development and design of digital and electronic modules for high-end line scan cameras
• Definition of hardware architecture and implementation of schematic design and PCB layout (x86/ARM CPU, FPGA)
• Close collaboration with firmware, production, quality assurance and mechanics to ensure smooth implementation
• Creation of test concepts for assemblies and devices, as well as conducting tests and de-bugging hardware to ensure full functionality and EMC compliance
• Coordination with external testing institutes (e.g., TÜV/UL) and active support during approval and certification processes
• Accompanying the entire development process up to industrialization
• Cross-unit and cross-system collaboration with other agile development teams
Your profile:
• University degree in electrical engineering or similar
• Experience with schematic and PCB design, knowledge of high-speed layout principles
• Solid understanding of hardware-software integration and troubleshooting
• Experience working with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters
• Familiarity with embedded communication protocols (UART, CAN, etc.)
• Familiarity with Linux-based development environments
• Experience with EMC-compliant design and measurement technology is a plus
• Experience in the field of industrial camera systems or image processing is a plus
• Fluency in English
• Proneness to teamwork, strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• High curiosity, flexibility, and accountability
