Join our newly formed development team at the forefront of pioneering technologies! We design high-end line scan cameras for demanding logistics automation applications and seek passionate, innovative experts to help set new standards in image quality, barcode reading, speed, and reliability. As part of our dedicated interdisciplinary team, you'll contribute your embedded development expertise to strengthen our market leadership and actively shape the future of industrial image processing at SICK.

Your tasks:

•    Technical leadership of a team of embedded engineers (SW & HW) in the development of next-gen line scan cameras
•    Contribute to definition of camera architecture (processing module) and create specifications
•    Collaborate at an international level with rest of project group to build complete solutions
•    Balance between product requirements and technical feasibility, provide clear guidance and prioritization to the team 
•    Drive innovation in Track & Trace systems, exchange professional experience and actively participate in research and development activities throughout the entire product lifecycle
•    Ensure continuous technological development of teams and projects
•    Communicate with external partners responsible for technological development
•    Act as an intermediary in the processes of product development, production, quality management, and procurement 

Your profile:

•    University degree in electrical engineering, computer science or a comparable qualification
•    Experience in the definition of software architecture and software development on Linux-based embedded devices
•    Good knowledge of various technologies; e.g. Golang, C, C++, bash, Linux, low-level debugging and BSP development 
•    Good understanding of hardware-software integration, high-performance interfaces and digital hardware design
•    Familiarity with embedded multi-core systems, including FPGAs
•    Fluency in English 
•    Proneness to teamwork, strong organizational and problem-solving skills
•    High curiosity, flexibility, and accountability
